In this class, students will create a silver based jewelry project. No experience required. Students will develop skills to explore their practice independently or during our monthly Metalsmithing Open Studio.

What to expect:
Enameling
Come create earrings or a pendant and learn how to torch fire enamel by adding powdered glass to a copper shape creating a smooth “painted” surface.
Sterling Silver Textured ¼” Band Ring
You will learn to size, texture, bend, and solder a ¼” sterling silver band that we texture in a variety of ways to create a ring band that is a custom fit.
Cuffs and Bracelets
We will use a variety of copper materials to create cuffs and bracelets. Learn cutting, folding, shaping, texturing, and patina techniques as we explore this creative process.
Sterling Silver Earrings with Tube Set Stone
Learn to tube set a faceted gem onto a simple sterling silver shape that can be textured or smooth. Add a handmade earring wire to finish a set of earrings for yourself or another.
Stacking Rings
Learn to size, texture, bend, and solder 3 sterling silver ring bands to create a set of stacking rings. These bands could have an add stone set in another class.
